Holy geriatrics, Batman!

So I just got back from seeing the Rolling Stones perform.
Man, oh man. Anyone who’s into rock and roll who has NOT seen them is doing themselves a great injustice. It’s like watching Van Gogh paint, or Jane Austen write, or Martin Luther King wind up into a rip-snorting speech. It’s true artists practicing their craft, and it was fantastic!
I’ve seen the Stones probably a half-dozen times now, and this was one of the better shows. Sympathy for the Devil is one of my favorite songs and it was great, but the highlight of the show was the last song of the encore, Satisfaction. Keith tore into that opening riff, but with a slightly… well, grungier feel and sound. And then they just stomped through the song, it was unbelievable.
Great show. Just awesome.
