9/11 nutjobs…

There’s a number of people out there who remain convinced that 9/11 was a giant conspiracy, and that the Twin Towers weren’t brought down by the fires from the jets (and jet fuel) that crashed into the buildings.
I wonder if these folks will retreat at all after this:

Probably not- if they possessed critical thinking skills they wouldn’t be all caught up in the idea that the WTC was brought down by controlled explosives anyway- but it’s certainly food for thought. It’s the burned-out overpass in Oakland. A gasoline tanker truck crashed and caught fire; the fire burned hot enough to weaken the steel, and down she came.
The point is that steel doesn’t have to melt for a structure to fail; it only has to get weakened. A bit soft. And pow, the thing falls down.
If a freakin steel and concrete road can collapse like this, you know perfectly well that the WTC towers could have, too. And just like that, a bit part of the conspiracy theory collapses with it.
